Security First Bank Donates $500 to Southern Food Market

Blue Springs – Security First Bank recently presented a check for $500 to the Southern Food Market to be used towards the purchase of foods and other goods for families in need with children.

In December, all Security First Bank locations participated in a Holiday Spirit Day where all employees dressed in their best holiday attire. The branch voted as having the most “spirit” was awarded $500 to give to an organization of their choice.

Krystal Rutti, customer service supervisor in Blue Springs, said “We were excited to be chosen as the Holiday Spirit winner and are thrilled to be able to give to such a deserving organization in our community.”

The Southern Food Market is a food bank program designed for families with children in the Southern school district to help make ends meet and provide food to kids. The food bank is available every third Wednesday of the month from 4:00-5:30pm at the United Methodist Church in Wymore.
