Security First Bank Feeds Hearts Across The Plains

Security First Bank, with the help of their customers and employees, collected over 2500 pounds of food to benefit area food pantries through their recently completed “Feeding Hearts” food drive.
From February 1stthrough the 14th, Security First Bank collected canned goods and non-perishable food items at each of their 28 bank branch locations and 12 insurance offices throughout Nebraska and southwest South Dakota.
The food drive was initiated to raise hunger awareness and to encourage members of the community to help make a change in their respective communities.
“Often, food donations fall off after the holiday rush, yet the community’s needs remain the same,” comments Marnie Herrmann, Chief Banking Officer. “Our hope is that Security First’s efforts will provide meaningful help through this time of year.”
Across locations, for was donated to local organizations that will distribute the donations throughout their respective communities. In addition to the food donations, Security First Bank made a $500 monetary donation in each of their 20 communities, for a total of $10,000.
