Security First Bank Collects 6,477 Items in Annual Feeding Hearts Food Drive

Security First Bank and Security First Insurance, with the generous support of its customers and employees, successfully collected more than 6,477 items of food and personal care items and raised over $16,700 in monetary donations during its 6th annual Feeding Hearts Food Drive.

Throughout the month of February, donations of canned goods, non-perishable food items, and personal care items were gathered at all 25 bank branch locations and 11 insurance offices across Nebraska and Southwest South Dakota.

The initiative aimed to raise awareness about food insecurity while encouraging the community to come together and make a meaningful impact. According to Feeding America, 1 in 9 people face hunger in South Dakota and 1 in 7 people face hunger in Nebraska.

In addition to the donated items, Security First, along with employees and customers, raised a total of $16,738.10 in cash donations, all of which were distributed to local food pantries in the bank’s service areas.

Security First would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s Feeding Hearts Food Drive and contributed to the program’s success.
