Security First Feeds Hearts Across the Plains
Security First Bank, with the help of customers, employees and community members, collected over 5,309 food and personal care items to benefit area food pantries through their recently completed “Feeding Hearts” food drive.
From February 1st through the 14th, Security First Bank collected canned goods, non-perishable food items, and personal care items at each of their 25 bank branch locations and 12 insurance offices throughout Nebraska and southwest South Dakota.
Often, food donations fall off after the holiday rush, yet the needs of communities remain the same. The Feeding Hearts food drive was initiated to provide meaningful help to the bank’s service communities during this time of year.
In addition to the food donations, Security First Bank accepted monetary donations and made $500 donations in each of their 20 communities, for a total of $15,280.
