Security First Bank Donates $10,000 Towards New Crow’s Nest

Security First Bank Donates $10,000 Towards New Crow’s Nest

Security First Bank, through their branch locations in Cody and Valentine, recently presented a check for $10,000 to the Cody-Kilgore Unified Schools which the district used in combination with other community-raised funds to help pay for a new crow’s nest at the Cody-Kilgore High School.

Tom Cooper, branch president in Valentine, said “We were more than happy to make this investment in improving the school football field and track.”

“The new crow’s nest provides not only a nice, clean space for concessions but also fills the need for a secure storage space for track, football, and other equipment. It also has a spacious view that allows the announcers and videographers plenty of room and a better vision of the game,” comments Erin Heath, Security First Bank board member and owner of Erin R. Heath, CPA.

Cody-Kilgore Superintendent Ryan Orrock adds, “Construction of the crow’s nest began in July and was completed by the beginning of September. In addition to Security First Bank, we would like to thank Marty and Krista Ostransky for organizing the construction of the nest and the numerous community members and businesses that donated their time and equipment to help complete the project.”
